C J Firminger community background is second to none with a very impressive involvement.

 

 

 

AFC WOODHAM FOOTBALL CLUB

 

 

 

Presently Chris has formed a new Local football Club called AFC Woodham, allowing the opportunity for both boys and girls to play football, where he is club Founder, Chairman & Manager.

 

AFC Woodham has 2 teams, AFC Woodham Warriors & AFC Woodham Wanderers playing at 11 a side and a Saturday morning club called Super Strikers allowing young Children aged 3 – 6 the chance to enjoy football. Chris holds numerous FA Coaching badges, First aid qualified & the clubs Child welfare officer.

 

The club has developed their own ground at Meadowbank Park with C J Firminger injecting time & staff into the project.

 

GROVENOR SCHOOL OF DANCE

 

Chris is also involved with funding and sponsoring the Grovenor School of dance, based in South Woodham Ferrers. C J Firminger has recently sponsored the School allowing them to buy vital equipment and kitting the girls out with there Dance Tracksuits.

 

This summer the girls took part in a show at Disneyland Paris and performed in the street parade and it was a proud moment seeing the girls kitted out in front of thousands of people.

 

COLCHESTER UNITED FC

 

 

 

C J Firminger’s biggest community project was no doubt its involvement with Colchester United FC.

 

Chris fronted the Matchday Experience programme allowing children from football clubs around the county a chance to watch the team play via complimentary tickets given to them by our company. C J Firminger were one of the clubs big 5 main sponsors from 2003 – 2007 with Chris sponsoring the Family Enclosure section of the ground. During this time, Chris was the driving force behind the clubs awareness campaign, attracting people to come and watch football at Colchester United from surrounding areas.

 

A real coup for Chris was being invited to the prestigious 4:4:2 awards in London where the club were awarded ‘Community Club of the year award’ and won ‘Family Club of the year’ award, where the club was monitored by the FA for the match day experience they provided for families.
